Feature 1 of Notion Sites: No need to write programs
Don’t know how to write a program? It doesn't matter! Notion Sites allows you to create a beautiful website without writing a single line of programming.
Notion Sites is just like the feeling we had when playing Notion before, it provides many preset elements.
Users can easily drag, layout, and create pages as usual, but what's special is that this page can be published and turned into a professional-grade website.
Even people without any web design experience can complete the website construction in a short time, so it is very friendly to novices!
Notion Sites Feature 2: Publish your Notion page with one click
Turn your Notion page into a public website and publish it with just one click.
Notion Sites will automatically convert the pages you create on Notion into web format and provide a unique URL.
Once published, your website is immediately visible to the world.
In the past, network construction required a lot of time to adjust pages, test, etc. This feature greatly shortens the time for website construction.
And as soon as you update the page, Notion Sites will be updated simultaneously, which is very fast, allowing users to quickly share content with others.
Notion Sites Feature Three: Customization Options
From website icons to preview images, dark and light theme settings can be adjusted.
Notion Sites provides a wealth of customization (Site Customization) options, allowing users to create a unique website appearance based on their own brand image and preferences.

Notion Sites Feature 4: Navigation Directory Menu
It can also do a directory menu like a website!
Now you can select the sub-pages in the publishing page, select Navigation in Site Customization, which sub-pages you want to connect to, and then readers can quickly navigate to the sub-pages of each Notion by simply clicking on the top.
But please note that the subpage you set must be under the page you publish, and you cannot connect to other public ones.
For example, the following is the scenario:
You publish your design portfolio. Your portfolio has sub-pages for Photoshop and Indesign, each with different portfolios.
- Photoshop, Indesign subpages → can be used as navigation directories
- If you have other public pages, such as a marketing portfolio, but they are not classified into the design portfolio, these pages → cannot be used as navigation directories.
Notion Sites Feature 5: Custom Domain Name Support
Notion Sites allows you to customize the domain name of your website to look more professional.
For a fee, Notion Sites provides free subdomains, such as yoursite.notion.site.
If you want to use your own domain name, e.g. www.tobie.com, you will need to pay an additional fee.
Notion Sites Feature 6: Support simple SEO
Although Notion Sites does not provide complete SEO functionality, it still supports some basic tuning options.
You can set the title and description of your web page, and this information will appear in search results.
In addition, Notion Sites also allows you to integrate Google Analytics, allowing you to track website traffic and user behavior. These features can help you improve your website’s visibility.
Notion Sites Feature 7: Built-in search function
Notion Sites has a built-in search function. Readers can enter keywords in the search bar at the top of the website, and the system will automatically search and display relevant pages and content.

How are Notion Sites fees calculated?
First you need to register Notion, then the fees and features of Notion Sites will vary depending on your Notion plan:
- If you are on the free plan: You can publish an unlimited number of Notion Sites, apply for a notification.site domain name, and enable search engine indexing for your site.
- If you are on a paid plan (Plus, Business, Enterprise): You can publish an unlimited number of Notion websites and apply for up to 5 notification.site domain names. You can also set up your own domain, build your own website, connect up to 25 existing custom domains, and add Google Analytics.
Those on the paid plan can use the custom domain feature for $10 per month, or $8 per month for annual plans.
I don't think it's particularly cost-effective, because if you want to use a custom domain name, you need to become a paying user of Notion first, and you have to pay an additional fee. If you add the cost of the original domain, it's actually not a lot.
So it’s a matter of opinion!
